Family Friday Returns!!!

So at my school we have a freaking awesome English teacher. His name shall remain a mystery, but he was the one who brought me to the virtual world of blogging. So back to the main topic, we used to do “Family Friday” in which, like the name, on Fridays we spend the day just hanging out and being ourselves in which we would try to connect with one another almost like a generic family. It’s understanding that we have work still and are busy, but slowly the “Family Friday” just died off. So to commemorate the good times, my friend and I created a series of games and challenges in hopes to bring the joy back in the class!

no game no life gif 1  So for the first few things that occurred was that me and my friend created a Kahoot account to play in class. The questions were mostly devised of what happened over the years. Hopefully it was a good way to reminiscence good old memories.

Next, me and my friend created nine strips of paper each with a different quote. The goal was to find quotes from the other groups. This was to help develop a person’s communication ability and connect to people besides your class alone.

The rest is yet to be determined and hoped on the day of our presentation we hope everyone will enjoy more of our hidden games….

Time to Brawl!!!!!!!!!!

Do you guys like intense debates or Socratic seminars? Then you guys will love the idea of a “Brawl”. It’s basically like a Socratic seminar except there are teams of four people that battle it out against one another in a debate form of discussion in which even the outside audience may enter to participate as well. My experience with the brawl is rather simple. I do try to relate this at best from what I may learn from anime, with the thought of the book, “All Quite on the Western Front”.Everybody in my team especially my good friend Thalia, relates this to outside world, basically from her experiences. While Johnson and Brandon awesome with catching the audiences attention and putting forth passion towards their thoughts and actions.

brawl

(#ideafm)My part was more as if I gave the audience a visual. So now imagine a world with astral like creatures…. Well you get the point and no not really, i didn’t say that. Honestly, I’m glad we approach this book as more of a debate rather then just tests and reading checks with follow up questions. That just defeats the purpose of understanding the book and the messages the author is trying to give us. This way, students have a way to grasp their own understanding of the book and compare to modern world as of now or just through their daily lives. This leaves a far more understanding and long term remember to the students in the long run. Plus believe it or not, we individually each look forward to each second we spend discussing and coming back with rebuddles. This experience is one I will remember if i ever such wish to pass on or teach to other people.

Right from the Heart

alone

Sometimes i wish time can just stop, so i can spend that moment to just be free and not worry on tests, essays or any kind of work. A just me zone where i can relax, the wind is blowing around me and i can just be in a state of peace. Though in this world that might be impossible. Like from this blog post: https://gemsaretrulyoutrageous.wordpress.com/2015/02/26/but-on-this-mission-i-must-go-alone/ , I would sometimes just listen to music with my head phones on and sometimes shut myself away from the world and relax. I try not to do so during a conversation, lesson, or presentations because that is just plain disrespectful in the amount of hours/dedication/courage the walk up and present. But other than that I would just listen to my music.

mehh

Now music, no matter what genre it may be, the emotions that are displayed leaves an impact on us viewers. They motivate us or just help us get through the day at times.Sometimes, they tell a story we can all relate to which creates a bigger impact that connects us with the artist/composer/etc. One song that of all times love to listen to is 月蝕 (lunar eclipse)

I talks about the hardships that they the artists go through and how it’s like the moon. It brings a powerful message in which hooks me on. But it shows i’m not alone in this world and that they are going through the same pain in suffering too.

crying

I could go on and on about the different songs to listen to, but nothing beats the original so check out A Moment of Clarity and the many blog post they upload! (of course if any of you guys may want some more songs to listen to, just message below)

End of Root A~Now Tokyo Ghoul: re

“Oshiete oshiete yo sono shikumi wo…..”

“I already know Kaneki-kun….”

tokyo ghoul logo

No matter what people may say or what the manga may turn out as, the amount of thought that was put into this one episode was enough to reach the depth of an abyss and shine light in which we people view is the heart of our emotions. Whether it may be sad nor not action pact has nothing to do with what is to happen with life itself and Kaneki’s journey. We left off from a mist and Shinohara crushed before everyone. We who are kept up with the story is well aware of another of an “one eye owl” pulling the strings behind aogiri. With everyone barely catching their breath to just stand and live face off a second owl. Scars, wounds, blood, and half of a fighting spirit is only what is left for the CCG. Of course with the owl here, the whole gang of aogiri members attack what is left of the CCG.

aogiri owl

Simultaniously, Kaneki and Amon clash for a final fight between them since the very beginning between man fighting for his master and survival versus protecting the ones he value/love within the depth of his half human and ghoul life. Amon for the first time has actually never meet a worthy opponent that is a ghoul in which he respects enough to ask for his name and unleash the full potential of his quinque made by Mado himself as a symbol to remember him. Every strike, every blow rips Kaneki’s kagune off and deteriorates to the roots. Kaneki knew, if this keeps up he will surely lose, so with nothing held back he clash with Amon. Until one blow knocked off supporters for a billboard and crumples down one injured CCg members. Amon at a great distance tries to help but didn’t make it. Reluctantly, the members were safe and sound as if nothing happened, only to find Kaneki’s Kagune to protect the CCG member. This view contradicts Amon morals from childhood til now. Amon wield his blade and moved forward and Kaneki joust forwards and….. his final words were “I’m sorry Akira. I got it destroyed.” thus Amon collapse. As victor Kaneki walks forward, but at what cost, he is slashed in the lower abdomen and parts of him is falling apart. Limping to safety, he notices that things start to fade before him and he soon falls to the ground right before him….

amon vs kaneki

Thus reaching to the climax of a trashing from a second owl, a man walks before the owl in a white coat prepared for combat. The owl tightens up for combat in knowing a worthy opponent before it. News spread to every CCG member to not loose hope because Arima has finally arrive. Thus the owl goes in for the strike, but only to be countered by Arima’s quinque. Every move, every strike was easily countered and left a fatal blow for the owl. Knowing the outcome, the owl grabbed Kuzen and swallowed him up and fled.

arima vs eto

Kaneki regained conscious, in which to find himself to be back in Anteiku. He then encounters somebody within the room within, but when he walked to the middle of the room the identity was revealed to be none other than Hide. By reminiscing old memories, Kaneki himself was astound to see Hide before him. He only smiled and confessed that he knew Kaneki was a ghoul for a long time and yet  he still accepts him. But little does Kaneki know that Hide’s life is soon to fall short by a single thread. As he collapse, even in his time of falling he remains to smile for his dear friend, Kaneki.

kaneki and hide

With everything in catastrophic around the warfare that just concurred, Kaneki walked casually through CCG area with a person covered in sheets. To everyone, they glanced and get ready to pounce, but as the sheets get unraveled and reveal a CCG member to be Hide, everybody is shocked. Kaneki glances around to see the damages within the area with dismay and he comes upon encountering Arima himself. Finally…..

Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon

“Rage, despair. Come before my powerful servant, XYZ summon…. Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon!”

dark reb

So i recently got hooked in this pretty legit and beat stick card, by the name Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon.

dark reb2

He is basically straight forward and pretty simple. He is an easy rank four xyz unit that requires any two generic level four units/cards to bring him out. As for the skill he is detach 2 xyz materials thus half the attack of one monster on your opponents side of the field and it gains that amount to itself. Since it doesn’t specify it the attack gain is permanent or until the end phase, my guess is that it lasts til the end of the turn. Though until I actually get some rulings on this, I’ll let you guys know for sure.

dark reb3

As for the anime, Dark Rebellion made is first appearance at episode 7 during a duel with a mystery person (Yuto) versus Silvio (as Yuto’s ace). Even though, I don’t consider Yuto an antagonist, he is pure awesome as any other player. Even his deck archetype, The Phantom Knights, sounds crazy cool. Yuto and his deck, is safe to say is the playstyle is very close and similar to Jack Atlas in gaining power as a beat stick. Though Yuto really cares for the people around him and isn’t afraid to show mercy if they are at a disadvantage. He is caring and doesn’t want any of his friends to get hurt or probably people in general. As of the moment, Yuto has only lost to one person that was recorded, which is Yugo but it isn’t over yet.

Tips for Spring Festival #2

Just two more weeks til spring festival for Bushiroad. Since GBT:01 came out and the new support for gear chronicle, royal paladin, and kagero came out there has been week that passed, we can now visualize whats to come.

Spring_Fest_logo

At first everyone, me too, thought ¨The X¨ would be topping everywhere considering how effective it was in Japan.

the x                   the end

But apparently ¨The X¨ isn’t that hard to beat. First, if the start off with riding into dote then they basically lost (They can still regain full control of the game by riding ¨The X¨ the go for calamity tower. It works, but then there will be less recycling later on during the game.). Also most of the time you can guard the vanguard hit without worrying about any retiring effect from ¨The X¨ because most of the time, they rather re-legion then use the skill. Plus if you think about it, losing rearguard is better then a second vanguard attack (if they choose to use the skill). ¨The X¨ is slow to begin with early game, plus as the game progresses, then they start to stalk up on grade threes in which they get put to use or get cloggy. Plus this puts your opponent in the position to either stride that turn for game or save them. The only strides they have at the moment is ¨root flare¨ and ¨divine dragon knight mahmud¨ which both aren’t that scary as compared to ¨vikt¨ or ¨saint blow¨. ¨The X¨ is still a good deck to play considering the calamity tower and gojos for crazy consistency or draw power.

The Owl

the owl 1

Back in the 20th ward, doves would be packed as the streets will be filled with ghouls. But one remained mighty. He targeted and killed many doves. Even his own kind. Eventually an organization sets their eyes out for this ghoul. He was undefeated and well known to be feared for.

the owl 8

he has no interested nor ghouls in mind. So he minds as well joins the organization. he did everything they told him. From ripping flesh off of bones to striking down ghouls that raise a threat against the organization. He was well known as the owl by the name of Kuzen.

the owl 2

One day he went to a local coffee shop in the 20th ward to enjoy the coffee there. Always the same coffee everyday with no sugar. Always the same seat. He didn’t seem to have a care in the world until he meet her….. The first human to ever approach Kuzen and talk to him. Sooner or later, Kuzen spends more time with the human and gets to know her. He eventually found out her name was Ukina, and that she works part time in the coffee shop. They would always get together and hang out at the shop or chat at the park. She even insisted to teach Kuzen kanji since he was struggling with kanji. His heart would pound whenever they were together. Since this was the first time someone went out of their way for him. But as night fall, Kuzen went to kill some ghoul under orders by the organization.

the owl 3

He knew the risks he has to take to make sure that the organization and Ukina don’t meet or see the real him. As he goes back to headquarters to get a new job, he stumbles upon meeting Ukina. With Kuzen having blood splattered all over him and with kagune and ghoul eyes showing he knew his world was gonna fall apart. He knew what must be done…. By holding back all his tears he went to strike Ukina, but instead she hugs him as tears dripped on her face. Kuzen questioned her why, after knowing he is a ghoul and how deadly they could be, why stay. Her only reply was, “It must of been hard being all alone for so long, right?”. Despite knowing Kuzen was a ghoul, she still accepts him for who he is and stays by his side. Kuzen just couldn’t hold in all his emotions by then and just lets out all the tears that he held back.

the owl 4

He knew that if he stayed then Ukina would be endangered by the organization. So after that night, Kuzen left the organization and proposed to Ukina.

As months past, they eventually raised enough money to get their own house within the coffee shop. Then news came up…Ukina has a child.

the owl 5

It was forbidden to have a ghoul and a human to have a child since they are sworn enemies. Also the ratio of the child to survive is one in a million. Unless a miracle happens the fetus will just die with the mother. Even with the chances for survival is low, Ukina gave hope for the baby to be born. With some nourishments, eventually the baby came out and is healthy. Kuzen and Ukina couldn’t be more greatfully to have such a miracle. But the joys of laughter didn’t last for long…..

The organization that Kuzen joined, sent ghouls to kill him and his family for betraying the group for a human and to not leak out any information. Ghouls after ghouls crashed the house in the middle of the night with intent to leave a meal for everyone. Though Kuzen and Ukina managed to escape with their new newborn baby. Kuzen knew this would eventually happen but he never knew it would this soon after a birth of a child. As a ghoul he has amazing athlete agility to maneuver around the streets and get to safety, but Ukina is different. Unable to keep up with the speed, she trips. Piles and piles of ghoul drop down and shredded her body parts from head to legs apart. Kuzen enraged, attacked the ghouls and manages to kill them away from Ukina. The baby with no idea what was happening, just held onto her mother and giggles with her first words, “mama….” As Ukina lays in her time of dying, he touches her child and hopes that it will grow up alright.

the owl 6

More ghouls were catching up, so by swallowing his pride and guilt, Kuzen had to do what’s best and leave to take their baby to safety. He eventually got to a warehouse to put down the baby and hold the ghouls off. He knew this was the only way for the baby’s survival. In tears he tries to forget Ukina and enters battle, but is stopped by his baby reaching out for him. He knew this was rough to leave a child just born alone, but he must fend off the ghouls.

the owl 7

He swallowed his pride and runs to fight. Eventually Kuzen manages to take on a whole army of ghouls by himself, but at what cost. He went back to retrieve his child, but the baby was missing. That night, Kuzen has lost everything to him that he holds dear.

kuzen cry

On that day forth Kuzen went backed to the 20th ward to his home and is now owner for the coffee shop that Ukina use to work in. Upon tribute to her, he continues to live and work in the shop. Years passed and Kuzen never killed anyone since to live a peaceful life. Thus the end of the owl.

the end kuzen

GBT:01 (G Booster set: 1)

gbt1

Finally we get support for stride in general!!! So for the upcoming Friday 13 of March, US is finally gonna get the GBT:01 set and so many support for clans such as Royal Paladin, Kagero, Oracle Think Tank, Nova Grappler, and the new mystery clan, Gear Chronicle. For sure the meta is gonna change drastically just like in Japan, how “the x” had taken worlds with too high pressure and consistency. But now we learn the  mistakes of Japan and to cope with our deck builds to compete for the upcoming spring festival event.
