Time to Brawl!!!!!!!!!!

Do you guys like intense debates or Socratic seminars? Then you guys will love the idea of a “Brawl”. It’s basically like a Socratic seminar except there are teams of four people that battle it out against one another in a debate form of discussion in which even the outside audience may enter to participate as well. My experience with the brawl is rather simple. I do try to relate this at best from what I may learn from anime, with the thought of the book, “All Quite on the Western Front”.Everybody in my team especially my good friend Thalia, relates this to outside world, basically from her experiences. While Johnson and Brandon awesome with catching the audiences attention and putting forth passion towards their thoughts and actions.

(#ideafm)My part was more as if I gave the audience a visual. So now imagine a world with astral like creatures…. Well you get the point and no not really, i didn’t say that. Honestly, I’m glad we approach this book as more of a debate rather then just tests and reading checks with follow up questions. That just defeats the purpose of understanding the book and the messages the author is trying to give us. This way, students have a way to grasp their own understanding of the book and compare to modern world as of now or just through their daily lives. This leaves a far more understanding and long term remember to the students in the long run. Plus believe it or not, we individually each look forward to each second we spend discussing and coming back with rebuddles. This experience is one I will remember if i ever such wish to pass on or teach to other people.
